Hello dear followers and readers!
Happy New Year! A greeting I should have extended to you, three months ago, I know.
I'd like to point out, that fortunately for me and perhaps unfortunately for those who don't want to hear from me, I still have the will power to continue blogging amidst all the writing - and endless revisions- that come my way. It's a rough road, by the way.
Just an update, my year has been fantastic! Wanderlust cravings achieved during the 18th International Hot Air Balloon Festival at Clark, Pampanga then an "unplanned" weekend getaway to Tagaytay with close friends-turned-temporary-nomads.
If I were me a few years ago, I would have blogged about it right after... uhm okay, a couple of days after the adventure. But seeing that I am me now, which means a lazier blogger than I was, it took me uhm weeks to post about it in great, vivid detail. Here it is...
can't see? damn, am probably still lazy...
Truth be told, Instagram and Pinterest are, well partially to be blamed! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, post an #instapic and you become #instagood. Alas, no need to type in words; the picture tells it all. That's the front we tell our lazy boy/girl selves. And it pretty much works all the time. Unless there was a school-like required writing you have to publish, which thankfully you don't have to do anymore! (evil laugh ala Jennifer Lawrence in the diner scene on Silver Linings Playbook)
Another highlight is the road to the 85th Oscars! Host Seth MacFarlane totally killed it. Love that my girl Meryl Streep finally made an appearance. Streepers, remember The Flu on the Golden Globes this year? And The Storm at the BAFTA? And we thought she was ditching the AMPAs as well, but alas, we saw her in a rather familiar-cut glittery grey Lanvin dress. By familiar see her shimmering gold Oscar ensemble last year. See???
then the Daniel Day-Lewis moment happened where they swapped salivas. (oops, Rated M for Meryl Fangirling is on.)
Basically, those are, so far, the highlights of my year! I'm thinking of highlighting my hair next.
I've been talking about writing, been meaning to do some writing but never actually engage in the process of leisure-writing until now. It occurred to me that no one will do the writing for me, unless of course, I hire a ghostwriter and pay him/her a hefty amount to manage my online accounts- (duh, as if people are so interested...oh wait, didn't you say there's a new Pope? More Interesting! change channel.)
Here's an ending to watch out for---
VAST SPACE.
